Wide Width Womens Shoes Online

Isn’t it frustrating when you are shopping for wide width womens shoes at the local department store and find a gorgeous pair you just HAVE to have, just to find out that they don’t have wide widths in that style?  What do you do?

 
Do you buy a larger size that is too long for your foot, or get one that is too narrow and will be painful to wear?  Or just drive home discouraged, cursing your wide feet and the stores that seem to think that everyone out there fits in a petite size shoe?

Buying footwear that is too long for your feet isn’t a good solution, because they just won’t look right, won’t be comfortable for very long, and will develop that ugly crease in the wrong place. Footwear is designed to flex at the ball of your foot, and when your shoes are too long, the ball is too far back from the toe of the shoe, and that causes the toes of the shoes to turn upwards like a pair of clown shoes (ask me how I know)!

Buying footwear that is too narrow isn’t a good solution either.  Those gorgeous new too-narrow shoes won’t do you much good sitting on a shelf in your closet because they are too painful to wear for more than a few minutes!

Cursing your feet and the local department store doesn’t accomplish anything, either (but it might make you feel better temporarily!).

So what do you do?  The first thing to do is JUST ASK!!!  Don’t be bashful!  Many stores will be more than happy to order wide width womens shoes for you, provided that the shoe is available that way.

The second thing you can do is to write down the brand and style, and do an online search.  Many shoe manufacturers only have wide width womens shoes online.  Just make sure to check the online store’s return policy in case the shoes still aren’t the right size or turn out to be uncomfortable.

Another possible source is Ebay.  If you know what you are looking for, you may be able to find a killer deal on a pair of only-worn-once wide womans shoes that someone purchased in the wrong size.
